I will walk for our precious boy, Koa. Last October we had a “Team Koa Day”, raising awareness and funds for the RCD Foundation, who were a support for Koa throughout his journey. We had a brilliant day with Koa. He was surrounded by his most favourite people. We went on a walk, we played games, we played touch footie, we had a picnic and most importantly, we enjoyed valuable time together. I don't think Koa took the smile off his face all day. For the month of September, we will be honouring Koa as we walk through this profoundly heartbreaking grief and raise money for the RCD Foundation. We will be walking 214kms, representing the number of weeks that we had the most precious, infectious and magical boy in our lives. Any donation at all to the RCD Foundation would be put to very good use. They are leading the research in Australia to make paediatric brain cancer a thing of the past. To think that there may be a day when families wouldn’t have to feel such pain from this horrible cancer is a day worth walking for. Anyone who would like to join us by walking alongside us, you would be more than welcome. I know Koa won’t be far away for our adventures, running alongside us with that infectious smile of his.
