This year marks Wendy’s 13th Connor’s Run, and we think that makes her pretty amazing.
A former nurse with a background in paediatric palliative care, Wendy witnessed first-hand the bravery of young patients impacted by brain cancer, and the resilience of their families, experiences that left a lasting impression.
Now a proud nanna, Wendy participates in Connor's Run each year with hope. Hope that no child or family in her own life will ever face the pain she’s seen. Her commitment to raising funds for research, treatment, and care is deeply personal, and her ongoing support is helping change the odds for young people with brain cancer.
“I’m lucky to have many friends who feel the same and are wonderful supporters of Connor’s Run,” she says.
We’re lucky to have Wendy, a true example of the compassion and strength that drives our community.
