My Favourite Uncle
In 2025 I saw brain cancer first hand. I watched my beautiful family support my Uncle Wal, and I saw the effect it had on everyone.
Uncle Wal was the best. He didn't have kids, and as a result he stayed a big kid himself. I still remember the Christmas he 'cooked' my Barbies in the toy kitchen I'd gotten from Santa. Thirty years on it still makes me giggle now. When you were around Wal you were always laughing.
He was a wonderful brother, a great friend and a loving partner. We all miss him so much.
I'd love it if no one else had to watch someone they love go through brain cancer.
We're doing this run for Wal.
