I'm fundraising for kids with brain cancer!

This September, Happy Melon is proud to be taking part in Connor's Run in support of the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation and childhood brain cancer research.

Brain cancer is the leading disease-related cause of death in Australian children, yet it remains significantly underfunded. This cause is especially close to home for our community, having touched one of our own team members, Liv.

At just 15 years old, Liv was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour called an ependymoma—the same type of tumour Connor Dawes had. Thanks to funding provided by the RCD Foundation, new diagnostic testing became available, giving Liv the most accurate diagnosis possible and was able to avoid less invasive treatment and go into full remission.

In the lead-up to the event, Happy Melon and Sum of Us will be bringing back our Wednesday morning Run Club to help us train together—whether you're aiming to run, jog or walk. We'd love for you to join our team, support this incredible cause, and help raise vital funds for research that will improve outcomes for children and young people affected by brain cancer.
